Bryant Miller Olive P.A., a prestigious Florida-based mid-sized law firm, seeks an experienced Chief Operating Officer (“COO”).  The successful candidate will oversee the firm’s day-to-day administrative functions, and work closely with and report to the firm’s Chief Executive Officer (managing shareholder). The successful candidate will also work closely with the Chief Financial Officer and the Board of Directors who are all practicing attorneys.

The COO is responsible for leading and managing all administrative and business functions of the firm, including human resources, marketing, finance, and facilities, and will work closely with the IT Director on technology initiatives.  This role will assist in implementing human resource policies, strategies and philosophies; oversee the development of marketing initiatives; negotiate and manage the firm’s real estate and physical assets; negotiate and manage vendor relationships to provide an effective operating environment while controlling operating costs; monitor the firm’s financial performance, recommending and implementing operating and administrative measures; and collaborate regarding information technology. These duties include management of staff in all offices.

The successful candidate must have proven business, administrative and executive management experience, and skills overseeing human resources, marketing, and facilities. A proven track-record of accomplishments is a must, and a strong financial background is a plus.  A college degree, five to ten years of law firm management experience, and willingness to travel, primarily within Florida, are required.
